Last week's rain storm caused the NYU Intramurals league to cancel last week's games, all three of them. I find it hard to believe that they can only schedule three games a week when in past years they've had as many as five games at once. In any event, they have merely pushed the games from April 24 to May 1. Since we were not scheduled to play on April 24, we won't be scheduled to play on May 1 either.
The league is not sure whether we will play beyond May 1 because they only scheduled fields until May 1. They said they may be able to schedule fields beyond then, but they say a lot of things so who knows.
Folks, I am sorry this season is turning out to have so few games. I signed up the team as soon as the signup period began. They usually prioritize playing time on a first-come, first-serve basis, but I guess that's not what they're doing this around.
